April Ghueder currently serves as the Project Manager at Grizzlies Prep Academy. She formerly served as Dean of Instruction at Believe Memphis Academy. She is a native Memphian. April earned a M.Ed. and B.A. in Education from Christian Brothers University.
Charlise Clark gwin - treasurer of the board of directors

Charlise Clark Gwin currently serves as the Finance Manager for Amazon, Inc. in the Raleigh-Frayser Memphis area. She previously served as the Chief Financial Officer for Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter Schools for five years before joining the team at Amazon. She and her family have lived in Memphis for ten years. Charlise earned a B.S.B. in Business from the University of Minnesota and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Chandra Madison - Member of the board of directors
BOARD TERM: JUNE 2021 — JUNE 2024
Chandra Madison currently serves as an attorney at Boyle Brasher, LLC, where she focuses her practice on employment and labor law, as well as toxic tort law defense. She has lived in Memphis for twelve years. She graduated from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a B.A. in Music and a minor in Business Administration before moving to Memphis to earn her Juris Doctorate from the University of Memphis.
clifford stockton - Chair of the board of directors
BOARD TERM: SEPTEMBER 2020 — JUNE 2026
Clifford Stockton III currently serves as the Director of Strategy, Policy, and Community Coalitions, at TNTP. Formerly, he taught middle school exceptional learners and seventh-grade humanities, including social studies in Indiana. Before serving in the classroom at Tindley Accelerated Schools, he worked in the Tindley charter management office on curriculum, instruction, human capital, and school leader support and development. Most recently, he leads community coalition building and strategy to support local leaders and partner with organizations to support equitable outcomes in education nationwide. Clifford also served as the founding Senior Project Manager and Chief of Staff for the Memphis Education Fund, a Memphis-based philanthropic supporting Tennessee education efforts. Clifford lived in Memphis as a child and split time between Tennessee and Indiana until moving back to Memphis full-time in 2016 with his family. He graduated from Butler University with a B. A. in Sociology, Political Science, and Criminology and has a certification in Project Management as well as Orton-Gillingham instruction.

Board meetings take place monthly, and, whenever possible, are scheduled for the final Wednesday of every month. All regular board meetings take place at 6:00 PM and can also be joined via Zoom. In the event of a special called meeting of our Board of Directors, the meeting’s date and location will be posted to our website as soon as it is set.
